Then this role is for you – we are looking for a Dream Space Learning Specialist to join our Dream Space team.
We are Dream Space – a STEAM center created by Telelink Business Services and Microsoft Bulgaria with the aim to support all Bulgarian students and teachers in their efforts to create effective STEM learning experiences for and with their students. Position highlights:
The Dream Space Learning Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of the Dream Space activities they are trusted with – STEAM workshops, teacher trainings, live steams, video demonstrations, content creation, visuals design, etc. In all these activities learners use problem solving strategies and digital technologies to work on their competencies and critical socio-emotional skills such as empathy, creativity, ethical decision-making and collaboration. They will be supported by the Dream Space Learning Expert and the Dream Space Manager to build their skills to do that without supervision. They are a vital part of a small but strong team who strive to demonstrate what we are preaching.
What You`ll Do:
- Plan, create, lead, and co-lead STEAM workshops for K12 and High-Ed students and teachers.
- Create visual materials and videos to support the different learners.
- Research how chosen technologies and methods of teaching work and summarize learnings for the team.
- Plan, lead, and support the processes of recording and broadcasting live training videos for students, teachers, and principals.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of competitions for students and teachers.
- Correspond with teachers, principals, and university regarding planned activities via email, by phone, or other system the team uses.
- Manage time and duties responsibly and with integrity.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of proven experience in teaching (in schools, NGOs or private learning centers)
- Independent researcher and brave explorer of how things work
- Skillful in planning goals-oriented quality learning experiences
- Confident but mindful-of-the-learners trainer
- Comfortable with coding for beginners
- Giving constructive feedback to learners and colleagues with hope
- Thinking through feedback received and striving to follow notes for improvement
- Able to work on tasks independently
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications suite
- Intermediate user of image creation/editing software
- Intermediate user of video editing software.
Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Teaching certification will be considered an advantage.
- Fluency in English.
